Travelling by Bike

Cycling is one of the most popular modes of transport in London. If you’d like to cycle to LSE, this article explains where bikes can be left and what you’ll need to bring to help reduce the chances of bike-theft.

Additional information

Cycle racks at LSE
There are 540 open access bicycle racks across LSE’s campus. You can find the largest racks in Clements Inn, John Watkins Plaza outside the LSE Library entrance, and in Lincoln’s Inn Fields opposite the Cheng Kin Ku Building. Anyone using these racks must use a padlock to ensure that their bike is secure, not a D lock or chain.

If you are a member of the LSE community we have additional secure parking spaces and facilities including showers and repair stations.

Cycle hire and cycling in London advice
The LSE campus hosts three Santander Cycle Hire docking stations on Houghton Street, Portugal Street and Sardinia Street.
